About VACS
VACS is a client/server based collection system designed for collection of Welfare overpayments. Originally designed by Ventura County and now public domain, it has been adapted to handle all collection activities. Some of its features include:

  • Repayment plans for multiple debts
  • Billing and invoicing functions
  • Payment recording and receivables
  • Name aliases
  • Grant Adjustments
  • Interfaces with CalWIN
  • Franchise Tax Board and IRS intercept
  • Reporting
  • Many other features

Calendar
The VACS Consortium meets quarterly in February, May, August, and November on the third Thursday of the month. The meeting is held via a conference call.
